Wooden Toy Box - Safe Solution for Toys Storage

Rumors of sweatshop styled toy manufacturing units in China, weren’t a bother until a report in the New York Times, mentioned that about 20 million toys made in China were recalled, because they were painted with lead paint. The problem with toys manufactured in China, does not end with lead paint. Substandard products are often used to keep manufacturing costs as low as possible. Sadly, the menace has permeated at all levels including the manufacturing toy chests.
Now why would it matter, if the toy chest is made from cheap products…after all, the child’s not going to bite into her toy chest? Besides, you don’t want them to last forever…right? Wrong! A report by the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, has pointed out that even a small amount of exposure to lead paint can make a child inattentive, hyperactive and irritable. Thus by the time your child has outgrown the need for a toy box, he/she has suffered considerable damage.
It certainly pays to be a little cautious. Make sure to check if the wooden toy box is manufactured by a manufacturer that respects safety standards. A product’s fancy German or American name does not guarantee that it is made in that country.
Not that all toy manufacturers in China produce toys and toy boxes of substandard quality, but if you’d rather not take a chance, it’s best to stick to American manufacturers like 1888toys. Besides manufacturing educational toys, they also manufacture furniture for kids, including smart toys storage solutions like toy benches that double up as benches and stools.
