Classic Educational Toys - Do Your Kids a Favor...

Children learn about the world around them through toys. Besides learning social and adaptive skills, they also develop motor skills and hand to eye coordination. But, over the last century we’ve been advocating the push-button type of automated toys that add little or no value to the kid’s development. Aggressive advertisement and celebrity endorsement often make them irresistible to the child. Such toys almost do everything for the child. At the push of a button it may light up, move, or make noise. While children may throw a tantrum compelling you to buy them, their interest in these toys won’t last long. Once they figure out the mechanism, they get bored and dump the toy. But on the other hand imaginative educational toys help children to think creatively. In fact, they’re the ones that grow with the child and leave a lasting impression on them. Classic toys like teddy bears, wooden toys, dolls are the ones that children cling to always - even when they’re broken. They create stories with these developmental toys, and even express their understanding of the situation around them with these toys. Children who are encouraged to play with such games often end up being more creative, with a better vocabulary and even become good leaders. Before you choose toys for children, make sure that they confirm to safety standards and are ethically made. 1888toys.com is an online store started by parents who’re looking for innovative ways to engage their children. The educational toys, classic wooden toys, handmade toys available on this store are safe, and of the highest quality.

If our child is still a baby, you can give him/her toys that would help in developing his/her basic senses. Normally, babies are very much excited to know and learn about the world. Everything that they see, hear, feel and taste will be of great help for them.

Our children had a home made smaller version of the roller coaster educational toy pictured and they loved it. It has been well used and is still in great shape.
